At Concord Cranes we own and manage a fleet of 170 cranes ranging from 7T to a 550T with a new 750T crane which is on order.

As a result of our continual focus to renew and upgrade our fleet, we have a comprehensive variety of modern machinery consisting of hydraulic telescopic cranes, , truck cranes , all terrain cranes and tower cranes which boast an under hook height capabilities of up to 145m. Committed to an on-going fleet renewal program we serve our clients with modern cranes with the latest in safety and mobile crane technology.

In addition to the above we own, operate and manage specialised trailers  for the transporting of heavy and / or bulk and oversized freight such as bridge beams and wind turbine blades and sections.

All our crane operators are vastly experienced and trained to the standards recommended to ensure that we deliver the service you require when hiring any of our cranes.

All Terrain Cranes

Concord’s all terrain cranes offer the perfect mix of flexibility & productivity and deliver a high return on investment to the customer. These cranes can be deployed with equal success on virgin construction sites (no roads) or in build-up urban areas. They generally have more than one steering axle (manoeuvrability in tight areas) and boasts independent suspension for all the wheels.  They are equally suited for hi speed travel on tar roads (up to 80km/h)  and for crawling or low speed travel with mulitple drive axles on gravel roads. We can thus reach the client’s site in the shortest possible time no matter where the site is.

Truck Cranes

The structure of our truck mounted cranes facilitates road travel and operation in diverse geographical areas. Each crane typically has two cabs, for efficient crane operation on site and save driving operation where the boom does not obstruct the view of the operator / driver. These cranes are just as powerful as comparable all terrain cranes, but they have the added advantage of very cost effective on-road travelling due to their truck design heritage.

Rough Terrain Cranes

As the description indicated, rough terrain cranes are capable of negotiating rough landscapes to reach their operating location. Rough terrain cranes have a single cab and drive on two axles. Driving these cranes is normally limited to the actual jobsites due to the low travel speed and lack of suspension. Apart from being able to negotiate a construction site like a 4×4 vehicle, the can also lift a load and carry it to a new location. This is called pick-and-carry and a very useable feature on many construction sites.

Tower Cranes

During 2016 we introduced self-erecting tower cranes to our product offering.  The cranes are easy to move and erect on site since they do not require a build crane during the erection phase. They are the perfect workhouse for construction sites where civil construction of multi-storey buildings are being done. Due to their height and reach capabilities, they are positioned strategically on a building site to reach and service all for the duration of the construction.

Specialised Vehicles

Concord Cranes provide specialised vehicles through Material Handling Logistics (MHL), a heavy transport, logistics and broking company within the group. MHL owns a Faymonville trailer capable of carrying loads in excess of 50m long for the renewable wind energy industry and oil pipe risers for the oil and gas industry. Loads for the latter are often in excess of 30m in length and 28 tonnes in weight. Many years in the industry enabled us to develop a vast network of service providers with that we can utilise to provide customer a complete transport and logistics solution.
