What are rough terrain cranes?
Rough terrain mobile cranes are suitable for rough and rugged terrain because it is hard-bodied. These cranes are not able to travel on the national roads to the various sites, they need to be transported on step deck trailers or low bed trailers. They are well suited for construction sites and plants. They work well on confined sites and have the ability to pick and carry loads, as well.
What are rough terrain cranes used for?
Rough terrain cranes are operated and driven from only one cab, can travel on un-improved work sites and access and perform work in confined lifting areas. These types of cranes are often stabilised or hoisted up by outriggers, and once set up are used to lift loads on sites that are difficult to manhandle.
